Macario Gonzales and Encarnacion Paez fell in love.  That's how it began.  2 people  in love and set on starting a family. Today, that family is a Clan, in it's Fifth generation,  and with over 100 members.
 Who would have thought, back in the 70s, that the families would ever leave the  Philippines and indeed, prior to 1977, all the members of the Gonzales Clan were  located in their hometown of Baguio City, Philippines.  Today, most members of the Gonzales clan  have immigrated to the United States and are generally located in three geographic  areas.  
 Almost all members of the Santos branch of the clan is located in California while a member of the  Bayuga family lives in Las Vegas, Nevada.  They comprise the West Coast  section of the clan.
 The Gonzales, Fernandez, Bayuga and Villaruz branches of the clan and one member of the Santos branch are located  in Florida with some members of the Villaruz family located in New  York.  They comprise the East Coast section of the clan.  
 Finally, there are still a few members of the family who have kept their roots in the Philippines which include members of the  Bayuga, Gonzales and Santos families. They comprise the Philippines section of the clan.  Currently, most members of the Gonzales clan were born outside of the USA.   One of these days, that too will change.  The Fourth Generation have started having families - first with the arrival of Gilbert Ebba's twin daughters and more recently, the arrival of Mia and Michael's son Noah Bo. And, as more of the Fourth Generation have children, most of whom are  located in the U.S.A., the importance of keeping our ancestry, our heritage  alive, becomes even more important.  Thus, this website.
 The 1st ever Gonzales Clan reunion, directed by Jay Fernandez, was held in Orlando, Florida on  August 8-14,2008 attended by 88 family members. The 2nd Gonzales Family  Reunion, directed by Oliver Santos, was held in Los Angeles, CA on June 23-30, 2012 attended by 99  family members.  The 3rd Gonzales Family reunion was held in Orlando, Florida on July 22-26,  2016 organized by 3rd Generation members Karissa, Anyssa and Alyka.  The Pandemic messed up the scheduled 2020 4th Reunion in California that was being organized by Gabriel Santos but thankfully, a 4th reunion will still happen, but in Florida, on July 6-14, 2024, thanks to the lead efforts of Pat and Liza Gonzales and a host of volunteers working hard to ensure a successful reunion.
